Villa Necchi Campiglio

Built between 1932 and 1935 by the Milanese architect Pietro Portaluppi, Villa Necchi Campiglio is a sumptuous single-family residence in the heart of Milan, surrounded by a large garden with a swimming pool and tennis court.
Donated to the FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano) in 2001, it has become a house-museum and hosts two precious collections: Claudia Gian Ferrari’s collection of early 20th-century artworks (featuring works by Arturo Martini, Giorgio Morandi, Giorgio de Chirico, Mario Sironi and others) and the collection of 18th-century paintings and decorative arts donated by Alighiero and Emilietta de’ Mecheli (with paintings by Canaletto, Tiepolo, Marieschi and others).

National Museum of Science and Technology

Located in the heart of Milan, a few steps from the basilica of Sant’Ambrogio, the National Museum of Science and Technology “Leonardo da Vinci” was founded on February 15, 1953, and is still today the largest technical-scientific museum in Italy, as well as one of the most important in Europe, boasting a remarkable heritage of unique artifacts of our country’s industrial transformation. The museum houses the world’s largest permanent exhibition dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci, engineer and humanist. Over 1,300 square meters and 170 historical models, works of art, ancient volumes and installations revive the narrative through the evolution of Leonardo’s thought in an emotionally, intellectually and physically involving experience.
